Arcidiaconato is located in the town of Strongoli. This was the first estate acquired outside the Cirò Doc region. These vineyards, originally dedicated exclusively to international varieties, eventually gave birth to some of the wines that made our company's history: Gravello, Terre Lontane and Critone.
The Arcidiaconato estate is exclusively dedicated to grapevines. Some of our main vineyards can be found here, such as our new high-density head-trained Gaglioppo and some of our Magliocco vineyards. Furthermore, the estate includes one of our best Chardonnay vineyards – ten hectares which contribute significantly to the production of one of our bestsellers: Critone.

The estate's land was purchased in 1985. This first acquisition was followed by a second in 2001, creating a property of 51 hectares in total. The acquisition and development of this land marked the opening of the company to the foreign market.

One of the new frontiers of research, opened up above all by clonal selection, is the study of the interaction between rootstocks and European varieties. We therefore planted in the Arcidiaconato estate an experimental field in an extremely homogeneous area in terms of soil and exposure, to compare 22 rootstocks grafted with the same Gaglioppo clone.
