Named after a Roman centurion who lived in our land in the second century AD, and who was the first to write about our wine-making traditions. Produced using Magliocco Dolce grapes, a variety that grows throughout the Calabrian region, this red with a big personality and a good structure represents local wine-making at its best.

A grape variety found throughout the region, as demonstrated by its many alternative names. Magliocco wines show excellent concentration and structure with peculiar hints of dark berries and spices.

Winemaking

Vinification fermentation in thermo-conditioned stainless steel, with a 15 days maceration. 

Ageing wood, with 12 months in Allier barriques and an additional bottle ageing of 6 months before marketing.
